Guys,
My JMP-2 timer looks like it gave up the ghost. I was bench testing it a learning to program it. It was working great then it just seemed to quit. I never plugged it in backwards either. How has your timer worked for you? I'm hoping it was just infant motality. Anybody have theirs quit too? Glad I ordered 2 more the other day!

The short answer: THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE! :-)

I'm sorry to hear you had a problem, glad that it happened during "test" ;-)

I have over 250 flights on JMP timers. In the beginning I had three of them all with different programs, for the 1st 25 flights. This allowed me to make quick changes at the field. After the 1st 25 flights, I had the setup and prop where it was perfect for me. Since then I have used the same JMP timer for 225 flights with NO problems. Will Moore has hundreds of trouble free flights on his JMP timers, as do others.

I would suggest that you send it back to where you bought it. Jean-Marie is a nice guy, you may get an exchange?

Well except for the one time I plugged it in --one pin shifted-zapp!, it has been very durable.
However I did have one that didn't work the when it arrived. It turned out, after close inspection, that some of the pins weren't soldered. A quick touch up fixed it and it has worked just fine ever since. Might want to check the push button and the IC to make sure you see a good solder joint.
