My power supply is 2 1000 watt HP computer transformers for a total of 24 volts. I can charge off a 12 volt supply. I have the http://www.progressiverc.com/icharger-306b.html charger

The specs say that it puts out 4 amps at 12 volts so there is your limit.

I have a deep cycle Marine battery. I guess I could charge from that and charge the battery with the generator.

Well I checked and my 12 Volt power supply is 575 watts max output. So this will work. It will just take a little longer at the field to charge than with my 24 volt 1150 Watt power supply at home.

If you really want the charging speed then get another Marine battery and run a 24V rail.

I'm not sure how much more charging speed you'll really end up with -- LiPo charging starts with a constant-current phase that's limited by the charger, but it ends in a constant-voltage phase that's limited by how fast the battery can take up charge.  The only part that you can speed up with more power from the charger is that first part; the constant-voltage phase always happens on the battery's own time.

That is on the 12 volt side. I will be using the 120 volt side.

Sorry, I thought you planned to power your charger from the 12 volt output from the generator. My bad!

How far is the car from where you are flying. you could charge you car battery. I do this with my travel trailer and a little 650 Honda. Home Depot has a 1500 for about the same price but the weight is 62 lbs. I think you could make it work.
