Will a Earthquake 800W Inverter Generator  charge my 5s 2700 MAH batteries? If so how many at a time will I be able to do?  http://moreoutdoor4u.com/800wattinvertergenerator11613.aspx

That depends on what charger you use.  It claims to have 700 "running" watts, which means they're not being entirely honest with their power rating.  700W at 120V is just short of 6A (720W would be exactly 6A).  If your charger claims 6A then you're probably barely OK.  If your charger claims 5A or less, then you're probably as safe as houses.

Me, I'd trust just about any brand of generator.  As long as it says "Honda" on it.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

I have a deep cycle Marine battery. I guess I could charge from that and charge the battery with the generator.

Well I checked and my 12 Volt power supply is 575 watts max output. So this will work. It will just take a little longer at the field to charge than with my 24 volt 1150 Watt power supply at home.

The specs say that it puts out 4 amps at 12 volts so there is your limit.

That is on the 12 volt side. I will be using the 120 volt side.

If you really want the charging speed then get another Marine battery and run a 24V rail.

I'm not sure how much more charging speed you'll really end up with -- LiPo charging starts with a constant-current phase that's limited by the charger, but it ends in a constant-voltage phase that's limited by how fast the battery can take up charge.  The only part that you can speed up with more power from the charger is that first part; the constant-voltage phase always happens on the battery's own time.

Well the reason I am doing this is the battery is so heavy. The generator is lighter. I have 6 TP 2700 5S batteries and if I fly one flight and put that battery on the charger it should be charged before I go through the other 5 and so on. If not I will just have to wait.

So I have a 27DP-DL http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Duralast-Marine-battery-12-months-free-replacement/_/N-255s?itemIdentifier=107676 for sale for $75.00. Its brand new I have charger 2 batteries with it.

Sorry, I thought you planned to power your charger from the 12 volt output from the generator. My bad!

Remember you should let the battery cool before charging. So you fly one, put that battery aside to cool, fly the next one, charge the first battery, let the second one cool. etc.

How far is the car from where you are flying. you could charge you car battery. I do this with my travel trailer and a little 650 Honda. Home Depot has a 1500 for about the same price but the weight is 62 lbs. I think you could make it work.

Depending on the application, the Honda is so quiet it runs at a whisper.  If loud is not an issue there are a lot good generators available for half the price. We use them all at work.
