Anyone have experience with the inexpensive carbon props by Dynam, Gemfan, Quanum, ect.
They are rather thin in the hub area. Blades are very thin.
Looking at the 12x6.

Brent,
I haven't used this brand but have tried some 10x6 drone props and found them under pitched. I tried to heat pitch them up but whatever resin they use it doesn't budge. It seems like it is the same resin used for carbon fiber tubes (arrow shafts). I tried heating arrow shafts up to bend gear- no go. Some resin is just that tuff. When they use them on drones they can spin them up to higher rpm then we like to use because they (drones) only need to fly level and can carry the extra battery capacity without worrying about weight. For us rpm and diameter are the two things that draw the most amps and doing low pitch/high rpm needs a bigger pack then increasing the pitch to get the speed we need.
Best, DennisT

Shouldn't be using drone props on our stunters. They won't hold up to the the forces we put them through when flying the pattern.

I had some similar props. They worked fine. They are a bit fragile. I wouldn't use them in tall grass.

Tried those. No good. The pitch is not 6", more like 3-3.5", as we had to spin it to 13k RPM to get any kind of speed.

Brent's links take you to pages with other cool stuff.
The props I got, some 9 years ago, looked like they were made in molds cast on the front of APCs. They were identical in shape, but thinner. They were stiffer than APCs, but buzzed less. I don't know how you'd find them now. I guess you could go to China and look around.
