Electric 2011 Nat's SATURN IMPACT
« on: August 15, 2011, 10:37:58 AM »
Posting some photos of my Nat's model "SATURN IMPACT"
The model is built around a built up lost foam Saturn wing and flaps,Carbon fiber cloth Impact fuse, with SV22 foam stab and elevators with pattern master aerodynamics.
The model was to be a tween rudder with out dorsal. After seeing Randy Powell's model i chicken out and added the full fin and rudder.
Flying weight 63oz
wing area 660Si
motors platt 15-16 20-13  Axi 2826-10 and finally Eflite 25
Timer Hubin FM9
 Controller's Shuiltzie and castle
The E flite 25 was used during the Nat's competition
The model at appearance judging was nor flown. The flaps, elevators and rudder were not glued in place just held by the hinges.
The polishing was done the afternoon of appearance judging (really well prepared)
