IC model for convert at electrics

Hi Forum Friends!

I have since 2000 a stunt plane with fuselage for .60 IC with many flights and want convert theme to electrics.
However, I want use all structure of the IC and adapt a support for electric motor.
I try to find something like that here, but don't had lucky :'(
Some one can help me with photos, designs or suggestions?

I appreciate that very much.

I did a conversion a few years ago and kept the IC basic structure. You will have to make room for the battery and electronics which may change the present tank area structure.

You can see the metal motor mount about reply 16.  Easily made if you have a saw to cut aluminum.  I used 2 existing motor bolt holes and then drilled 2 others.  You can slide the mount to fit the nose.

Hopefully you will get enough suggestions and ideas to find what you want.

Bob Hunt also had a conversion he posted a pictorial on, I think I saw it in Stunt News,, perhaps some showed up here as well.
a search may yeild something, it was his Genesis xtreme? cant recall,,

I have converted a Pathfinder from a .46LA to Electric using an adapter mount (see pic below). It works with the smaller diameter motors like Cobra 2826-12, Elite 25 or AXI 2826-12,13.

Jos'e,

I did a Thread converting a IC model to Electric.  You might want to take a peek?

My guess is I probably removed a bit more material in the process than you are expecting to with your model. However, I did reduce the size of the rails, so there may be something there that might be of help.

This is the title of the Thread, "IC" to "E" with a new look!

A search could bring it up? Or, at CFC Graphic's vendor's corner there is a Thread with a link I believe?

Will you Post the progress of your efforts?

My current plane is a conversion from IC. I like Joe's solution. I made a mount from some PC board and hogged out the motor mounts to install it. Seems to work fine (or at least well enough to beat Mark Scarborough - that's something). I put the battery in the old fuel tank area (centered on the wing) and just made a small mount for the ESC and timer.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Your method already very good, but doing and use other materials and may be more easy, because I live in flat and don´t have so many tools for make like I wish ???
