E-flite Power 15 on 4S
« on: October 17, 2011, 03:22:02 PM »
Doooooh,
I put a Power 15 on my new Vector. CC 50 icelite and 2200 4S pack. Set the RPM to 9060. 11-7P wood prop.
It lasted for 2:45 sec.
So then I pulled up the motor calculator on the CC website and it confirmed that 4S is too much for the P15. I should have gone with a 3S batt.
Guess I should have run the calculator instead of reading the e-flite instructions!
I checked the setup list and did not see a P15 setup.
Anybody have any luck with the P15??

Mike

Copy Franks setup The 4s 2200 is not enough battery. You need at minimum a 4s 3000 more likely a 4s 3300. The power 15 sill work just fine on a 4s. Make sure you use the 11x5.5 APC thin electric prop which is available in both pusher and tractor versions. The 11x7 is too much pitch for the 4s. Fly that plane on the 4s it will be much happier.
