Mike Chiodo gave my grandfather an EnterpriseE kit as a thank you for fixing his airplanes over the years. It's our first electric airplane, and we're right now just trying to figure out how to run the motor. In the kit was a Hobby Lobby programming card, and we have no idea how to use it. I played around with it, plugging it into the ESC, but it doesn't do anything besides the motor running at 2700RPM (the battery is charged). Has anybody done anything with this type of programmer and is there any place where we can find directions on how to use it? No instructions were included for the programmer.
Thanks in advance H^^

what timer and ESC are you using?
-
Most ESC program cards plug up in place of the of the timer (or receiver if RC). If the ESC has a BEC circuit (puts out 5 Vdc on red lead) all you have to do is first plug program card in place of the timer (small 3 wire plug). Then plug up the flight battery. The LEDs on the program card should light showing the settings. Pushing the buttons on the bottom of the card will change the settings. Their should be a save the settings button.
Post a picture of the ESC and program card or post the brand and helpfull posts will follow.

In all honesty, I have no idea. Next time I head to my grandparents I'll get a couple pictures. The timer has two screws that controls engine speed and the time, that's the best I can describe that.
The EnterpriseE came with a turn key system where all you should have to do is just plug in all the electronics, program it the way you want and go fly.

That is the Brodak package. It has an Atlas 35 amp speed controller. Instructions for same are at http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/atesc/AT-ESCman14ENG.pdf

No Sir:
* The Brodak packages use Arrowind motors ESCs & batteries, with Will Hubin timers plus everything is pre-wired and ready to use.
* The Enterprise system lists an an Atlas motor Atlas ESC some indeterminant battery & Z-Tron timer and it states that connectors must be soldered.
* Just to cloud it up further, the product description states that the individual parts are subject to substituition based on availability! I have no knowledge of the Z-Tron at all but the timer Matt described (two pots for adjusting RPM & Flight time) sounds like the Hubin FM-0c sold by brodak (pix below). If so that timer should work fine with the Atlas parts.
I could also be that there is an Enterprise Pro airplane with a BRODAK power system package! BUt that would not account for the Hobby Lobby programming card...
Matt, I'm afraid its back to square 1. Darrell's link should help you with the programming card, but the real thing here is to get a pix of the items, or even just describe them here and we should be able to help you figure out what you got and what you need to do...

Per Matt's post he has the Brodak package. Per Brodak this package has the Atlas 35 amp speed controller.
