Now too burn some late night oil putting this kit together. Need a good practice ship to fly near home.
Outstanding looking kit. All the electronics included. Even some items I did not know would be in there like the Lipo Charging Protective Bag. Has the battery, motor, ESC, Timer and all soldered up and ready to go. Even a prop.
I'm impressed with the kit.

This is my birthday present......to myself from myself   #^
A 56 year old man needs something to look forward too.
This journey of returning to the hobby has been truly fun. Now....to get my flying down and enter a contest sometime.

That is a great plane. I did my first (only) 500 point competition pattern with one built by Andy Borgogna. He has since given it to me. His was covered with Polyspan and painted all over with Painters' Choice rattlecan. A bit on the heavy side, but can turn a nice pattern.

In the meantime, I am building a new one that should come out lighter than Andy's.  I will be covering the wing and tail with Coverlite, and the fuselage is stiffened with .2 oz. carbon veil after some serious tapering of the aft end and rounding of the contours.

First hint of the day: Cut a trim tab of about 2" length out of the end of the inboard flap and make it adjustable but fixed. This cures the wing whip in hard maneuvers.

Second hint: The battery needs to mount underneath the outboard wing, not on the upper fuselage. Until I made this mod, I could never get the wings level.

Third hint: Put in the weight box "just in case", but it will probably never need any weight in it.
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

Nice to hear it is a winner...and you too. I am thinking of monocote on wings and paint on fuse. The carbon veils sounds interesting.
I appreciate the 3 terrific tips and I will adhere to it. Never thought about trim tabs but searched on here and saw a lot. Nice. I will do that.
Hoping to start building next week. Doing a 1/2 A Snapper first to put my Cox Medallion on. Anything to get out and hopefully re-learn the pattern. Hopefully much better this time around.
