Title: Gieseke E
Post by: Robertc on August 06, 2017, 11:17:53 AM
Just finished my tribute plane.  I've wanted to build a 46 size Gieseke Nobler, but could find little info on it and didn't ask Bob before he passed.
I just got my Top Flite Gieseke Nobler plans, scaled shapes up and went to it.  As the only class I could fly it in was Expert, I made it electric.
First flight went well.

Very nice!

What ESC, timer, motor, battery system comprises the E-setup?
What is the wingspan, area, and weight?

Right now, have a Hobby King G-25, CC 50 amp ESC, Hubin timer, w/ 4 cell 3000mah battery.  All subject to change,
but more than likely, if I change anything, it would be motor.  Don't have any issues with it yet, but only two flights.
Wingspan is 56".  Have not weighed it, but guessing in the 56 - 57 oz range (Hoping that's right at least)
Only two flights so far.  Needs minor trim, but great so far.
