FYI: Full Scale Electric, or LARGE ECL?
« on: August 08, 2008, 02:15:30 PM »
I thought this was cool, and may be of interest to others in the ECL community. This is the 2nd Full Scale electric I have seen. My guess is that we will be seeing more EFS planes in the future.

This is another example of the full scale world using technology from the modeling world, just like the DOD has.  y1

I'm sure the duration will increase soon. And Solar panels on the wings can't be too far away. We have all seen this done successfully before.

Who knows, General Aviation may survive after all? (The GA industry has lost 90% of it's size since it's peak in the 1970s)

This would make a cool ECL plane. The pull test may be a challenge though?  ~>
