What are fuselage sides made of on a built up fuselage electric plane? Plane is 575 Sq. In. with an Eflight power 15 motor with 4S 2500 mah.

I have 4-6 Lb. balsa in 1/16, 3/32, 1/8 and birch ply in 1/64, 1/32. Ply will go from the nose back to mid wing and I plan on covering the fuselage with polyspan or something to add strength.

This will be a competition stunt ship so I don't want to over build it but I don't want something that might break, if you know what I mean.

I have always found 3/32 balsa sides and 1/8 lite ply doublers to be adequate, even with
a 4 stroke engine, which vibrates a lot worse than an E-Flite 15.

I currently working on a Nobler wing with Strathmoor tail feathers which has about 550 sq in.

Look at Bob Hunt's pictures of the front-mounted electric system in the AMPed-up page. I'm going
to use that front-mount bulkhead with my E-Flite 25.

Are you sure a 15 is big enough ?

The power 15 flys my 575 Sq. In. Tanager with authority. A power 25 will fly a 630 Sq. In. plane with a bigger battery.

Bob's fuselage looks like 1/8th balsa with 1/32nd ply but, I don't know for sure.
