What fun! I flew in the school yard as a kid....every chance I got, if the glue from the repairs had dried and I had enough money for some 1/2A fuel. :)

Now I know the secret of your building success! I never had the patience to wait for the glue to dry! ... still don't! HB~>
It did make for more successful planes when I did. But they sold Testors type A cement and I used it cause it dried faster. Just that the Ambroid let the planes stay in one piece so much longer. VD~

A little late here but uh, but I said we waited, often not long enough! %^@. I miss chewing dried ambroid off my fingers. Maybe thats why I cant remember why? LL~

I hate to say it but by the time we were chewing the Ambroid off our fingers the damage was already done!!!!
Building in the small confines of a closet in the basement the fumes from the Ambroid and the dope could really build up. No wonder we were loopy after building for a couple of hours. ~> <= #^
