Title: Flight timer audible alarm
Post by: Dennis Toth on April 19, 2024, 12:31:59 PM
While I am working my way back to full flights I have been doing short timed runs. I've been doing some maneuvers and needed a way to know when it was going to time off. I tried a small handheld unit that was OK to see the time but the alarm was not loud enough for me to hear when concentrating on the flight. By chance my wife was using her iPhone timer and the alarm was pretty loud. I tried this today with my iPhone and was able to hear it and feel it in my pocket. Works really good even on my weak side.

Best,    DennisT

My phone has built in timers (count up & count down) plus it streams sound directly into my hearing aids.  Thus I will be able to hear the timer alarm even over the roar of my outrunner motors!!!  y1

I have this kitchen timer.  It is easy to set and very loud.  Also very cheep.  Fits is shirt pocket or can hang it around my neck.

Been looking for one of those that was not the size of a postage stamp or paperback book.  Thanks!

Ken
Oh, Dennis, it is the prop making all of that noise.  Take it off, much quieter.
