E Flite 32 Question
« on: July 10, 2014, 04:22:32 AM »
My E Flite 32 motor seems to be maxed out at 8800 rpm.  I'm not sure if the motor has a problem or not.  I'm running a 13 X 6.5 APC pusher prop with a 5S battery.  Castle 75 Ice ESC and a Hubin FM-9 timer.  I  noticed in the "list your setup" that some guys with the E Flite 32 were running a 12" prop, some were using a 13" prop.  We thought maybe the batteries were weak, but we tried other newer, more powerful 5S batteries with the same result.  Is anyone out there running an E Flite 32 on a 13" prop and seeing higher rpms?

Thanks

Make sure the ESC is set for "Controline" and "Governor" mode.  If you are using a Hubin timer it needs to be set for "Phoenix new high".  "Phoenix Low" will do exactly what you describe.
