"Electrocuting." Wow! A great word for converting or building an electric model. Thank you Tim. I had to steal it.  ;D

I'm converting the GBR-3 to Electric. Not sure where to place the Build showing the tasks.

I've done this once before with a model but changed it back to IC. Yes, I wish I hadn't.

Eventually I'll be selling the Novarossi 57R Powerhouse currently bolted to the nose.

I've accomplished quite a bit on the GBR-3 and I'm moving forward at the speed of light. Faster in fact.

I've posted all the changes I did to the nose structure which was designed around an IC engine. Most of the photos are at CFC Graphics, here's the link to the last most recent page if anyone wants to take it in. I'll be posting more recent photos shortly:

Schulze 18.46 KF 2B  ESC
Prolite 25c  TP2800  55PH25  5 cell
Arming Switch  Maxx #6970

Plettenburg Orbit 25-16 (Kv: 590 rpm/V) too low Kv for 5 cell and even a 6 cell in many cases , Maybe a 15-18 840 kv for that battery
Schulze 18.46 KF 2B  ESC  Works well with pletts
Prolite 25c  TP2800  55PH25  5 cell    Will match set up above providing you can keep the plane light otherwise you need a 6 cell
Arming Switch  Maxx #6970   good choice no matter what the set up
Jetibox  J999   Why? What speed control do you plan to use? Fieorretti or Igor OK but then I'd switch to a Jeti brand speed control

 Not exactly a set up I would use. How ever you want to do this the motor and battery dont match. There are other set ups that should be looked at depending on funds available.First electric keep it simple copy sombodies proven set up exactly!!!

I spent some time reading. Not as enjoyable as looking at photos, but necessary.

Plenty of electric set-ups information right here in the Forum!

I did get the model fully/totally assembled for that final weight. Framed, no primer, no paint and no clear.

Rounded off the GBR-3 weighs in at 49 ounces. Actually 48 and change.
