well you can hover, I have never tried a bislob but I fly carrier and I can hover them with e power

So can you make a Slob hover with one of these lectric gizmos?

The simple answer to this question is......sure you can make a BoSlob hover with an electric setup. The original concept with the hovering BiSlob was really due to the ability of a Fox 35 to give a nice 2/4 break, especially if you stuck the tank far back in the Slob. One of our club members had so much fun with the Slob that he made a big one with a .60 in it. Guess what.........it didn't work! The engine just would not give any semblance of a half-decent 2/4 break. So the truth of the matter is that a Slob will perform great with any engine or electric motor........if you use throttle control.

Most of us flying stunt with e-power use a governor system for a solid, constant rpm. This is not what you need for the Slob! You would have to go for some sort of throttle control, and the simplest would be something like the 3rd line system used for carrier flying. Of course you could cheat and just stick a cheap 2.4 GHz R/C system in the beast!

Clancy's U/Tronics Control is cheep and works really great with e-power.  The advantage with Clancys system over a 2.4 RC system is that you don't need a RC receiver in the airplane and you can rig the throttle trigger into the handle.  Pictured below is my handle that uses right hand thumb controll for throttle.  Clancy's system is basically the guts that goes into the box.  Building the handle/controll box is the users problem.  The advantage of a 2.4 system is that it is plug and play.  However the Tx is usually mounted on the belt and controlled with the left hand.  Some can do it and some can't.  But an electric Bi-Slob is quite possible and will really work if you use throttle controll.
