Is the new Impact a one piece wing or two? Cant tell from the picture.
It looks more like one of the older Impacts too...

That new Impact looks really "professional". Sober, elegant and attractive paint scheme and color selection.
Anybody knows the specs of the plane?
Are there any videos of it in flight?
About the covering: Is it dyed Polyspan?
Am I asking too many questions?

The right wing panel had two holes on top, near the root, that looked like access slots to reach in with a screwdriver -- I'm betting that those were there to remove the wing, panel by panel (I didn't think to look on the left side, nor, for some odd reason, did I walk over and pick up the plane to look underneath).
Either way there were no wing parting lines that were obvious to casual inspection. I should have looked closer, but I hadn't flown yet and I was concentrating on doing as well as I could (as least-bad as I could?) while not holding up the show.
The covering is translucent polyspan -- whether it was dyed or sprayed with translucent dope, I don't know. I do know that in fit and finish it is just as impeccable as the other Paul Walker plane that I have seen, if not maybe even more impressive because the translucent finish lets you see some of the bones beneath.

I also note that the new Impact has what appears to be a much shorter leading edge sheeting than typical, and that the Rib layout is a bit out of norm, at least the normal canted rib configuration,, not the short partial ribs tying into the leading edge to support the sheeting and airfoil shape at the critical leading edge

It almost looks like its a higher aspect ratio wing then the older version.. and especially the stab/elev.

That stab is huge. Paul did a good job of not letting it overwhelm the looks of the plane.

Yes, 61 oz. with the 13 oz. battery. It is another of Paul's excellent Impact's with mod's that he would probably disclose if you asked him. Built with Tom Morris take apart system, finish is pretty much per Pete Peterson's article in Stunt News from a couple of years ago complete with Pete's favorite House of Kolors yellow dye and day glow additives to the colors. It reaaally shows up in the bright sky, or dark for that matter.

That Arctic fox that is pictured there is actually my Ruffy. That was built from a RSM kit several years ago and required some interesting trim problems and some trim salutions that I had never encountered before. Maybe John don't remember the Ruffy as this was also posted the same caption on Flying Lines. My Arctic Fox is all white and am sure that the Arctic fox is a lot nicer looking Plane. ??? HB~>

That plane is a basic Impact except for a few changes.
1) the horizontal tail has the same area, but at a higher aspect ratio.
2) the wing is a standard Impact on the OML, but the internal structure changed.
3) yes, it is a full take apart headed to Europe.
4):the flaps are slightly smaller.
5) that is NOT Howard paint. Much "brighter".
6) yes, 61 WITH battery installed. I have flown it with a 3 ounce lighter battery, and it flew just fine.
Its twin brother in getting ready for filler. It will be paintedsomewhat

OK, this editor doesn't get along with my phone very well.
The paint will be somewhat different than #1. Those that see will know.
After some structural concerns things are fine now.
I look forward to resuming flying in June and preparing for the Nats.
