Electric Success (finally)
« on: February 27, 2010, 07:23:48 PM »
having good support on ths forum from half the world away has really given me a boost to get my electric planes going -

after repairing the nose on my legacy- I got out for 6 flights the other night and man - what an awsome way to fly!!!

Big thanks to Archie - I used the setup exaclty as he described and per the spreadsheet he created and this thing flies within .1 sec of the time stated on the spreadsheet , has AMPLE power and excellent tension everywhere..... I just need more practise and I think I have  winner here!

I am hooked!!!!!   y1

(Legacy now weighs 66oz after repairs and more tip weight but flies great)

Oh great, THAT is gonna really make it hard to deal with him.   f~
All seriousness aside CONGRATS!  Glad to hear it is working out for you.  Judging by this Forum there are LOTS of folks down under who are converting to E-power this year...   010!

Hi Dennis,

Not sure about NZ but there are about a dozen or more started dabbling with Electric CL this year here in OZ.  We are lucky that you guys have done all the hard work for us and got it to a point where we can pick it up easily.  Thanks!

Congrats to you too Wynn on your successes.  In two weeks I will be putting my Pathfinder electric setup to the test in it's first contest.

Cheers

Warren

Pray for wind for your upcoming contest. Then the ST will be up for sale rather than for future projects. Wind is where electric REALLY is awesome!  And its pretty darned awesome the rest of the time.

Wynn,

Great to hear that it all went together well for you.  I can't wait to hear how things progress for you.  Can you post your set-up and some pictures?
