I am new to ECL and need some help on solving the problem of not being able to tighten the prop because of the space on the shaft mounted to my AXi motor. Are they different length adaptors or spacers available to solve this situation? The attached picture should help. I have adapted a Jamison Special to electric and need to solve this little problem so that I can move forward on finishing the plane.
Thanks in advance.

Ron,
I see two potential solutions. First you could find a nut and washer and ditch the prop nut/spinner that came with the adapter. Second option would be to hack off enough of the threaded adapter so that the prop nut/spinner will tighten against the prop. Personally I would go with option one so that you could run a standard spinner on your model.

I might try cutting a wooden washer to make up the space. You could use sticky sandpaper to provide the needed traction if you wanted it mounted behind the prop. If in front of the prop, you could leave off the sandpaper. I would use maple or oak for the wood.

Ron,
Turnigy has spinners with reliefs cut in the to go over non threaded portions of the shaft. Might try this.

Ideas:
Use a spinner with a back plate AND add a washer in front of the prop for the spinner nut to tighten to.
