heres my new 2013 electric profile
this was an ARC from brodaks
had to totally rebuild the front end
it was hard work getting all the electrics under the new cheek
same running gear as my other electric model
weight (considering it was already built ) 54 ounces

Looks good. I like the way you hid all the stuff in the cheek.
It looks like an OS motor -- which one? What battery, ESC & timer?
-
Hi Paul,
I know you may well say it was just assembled for the pictures but. . . .
I notice the heat shrink on 2 of the motor wires leaves a small part of the connectors exposed. This is bad trust me. I usually wrap insulation tape around each motor lead at the motor/esc joint once direction etc is established. If the exposed connectors should touch all the magic smoke will escape and your motor and/or ESC will be pushing up daisies. (Don't ask how I found this out). ???

Dangit John, why'd you say that?
Now I've got two RC planes to rework...
-
Nice job keeping it clean. Gotta love those removable cheek cowls!
-
Hi John
this hasent been bench run yet but will check everything !

What a nightmare to an old IC user. How do you know which wire goes to which point? Just kidding. I am amazed that you got all of that under the cheek cowl.
-
Hi john
you wont believe how many times i had to wire it in and reposition it all
but the end result was justified

Hi Paul
Really nice looking plane! A couple of questions, where are you locating the battery, did you have to add lead to get the CG right, and finally how are you getting air into and out of the cheek cowl to cool the electronices? Again, only in my dreams can I get a cover job to look that nice.

hi Andrew
first of all there is an outlet under the wing from the cheek
the battery is located on offside as you can see i have cut into the wing up to the bellcrank
around the spinner there is an intake but im going down to a 1 3/4 one soon
as for covering i wrap the wing so no l/e join

Thanks Paul. :)
