Here is my new profile for this year. Maybe it will work in the new warbird category as well. Planning a Turnigy 3548 950 with a 12-6 EP, 4s3300 battery, Ice 50, and Hubin timer.

for the record,, I dont have an ME 109,, i have a couple bf 109s H^^ D>K
and besides, its back on the bench and in progress again,, heck its only been what,, 5 years maybe,,

OK guys "bf vs. ME" story. Willy Messerschmidt got into a nasty tussle with Herman Goring, normally that would have gotten you a one-way ticket to the nearest concentration camp. But Willy M. happen to be a darn good aircraft designer so his punishment was he could not use his initials on the 109 hence the bf. Later Herman G. forgave Willy and allowed him to use his initials on later design hence the ME-262. One last thing, the rest of the world called the bf-109 the ME-109 to the point that through commen usage either name is acceptable even in Germany during WWII. y1

Trax, this is a compilation of several designs. I took the profile from the Sheek's 109 and shortened it to get Fancherized twister numbers, and used a set of foam Twister cores that I added round wingtips to. The biggest departure from the Sheek's design would be the straight leading edge vs. one that is tapered back.

What paint are you using? Getting the right colors seems to be difficult for WW2 German aircraft.

George, the beauty of electric is that you can use anything. On this one, I went to Menards and bought sample size bottles of Painter's Pride latex, which I had them mix for me to colors shown. The sample size can only be mixed in eggshell finish, which is sort of a dull finish that works well for a military scheme. You could put some sort of clear coat on it if you want a high gloss finish, or go ahead and have them mix up a quart of high gloss latex in the colors you want. A quart would probably paint 4 or 5 airplanes. If you are looking for a fuel proof finish, I would go with the Nelson Hobby paints. They are also water based, very easy to use, odorless, and fuelproof. They also can mix any of the Luftwaffe colors for you.
