Title: Early ECL
Post by: John Hammonds on June 08, 2009, 03:44:18 PM
Came across this from an early Aeromodeller, thought it might be of interest.

I'd give up my 1st born to get 45 minutes flying time.....

Do you think Russ tried this out originally, and after 10 minutes gave up his cookies??? S?P

Maybe that affected his outlook.

I tried a system like this about 20 years ago. Battery pack in pocket. Magnet wire used for flying lines. On 25 foot lines it would fly but not enough power to loop. Here is an old photo of it. Its a Brodak 1/2 A plane.
