E Limitation power pack ?
« on: August 22, 2010, 09:54:42 AM »
Looking at the plan for the Limitation, profile for 40 CI, at 460 sq ins wonder is my Nobler power system suitable:

Axi 2826/10, E pusher 12x6, 4 cell 2500mah, Shultz ESC and Hubin timer

Flies the Nobler very well on 65' lines would like a more modern design or would a Cardinal profile be a better choice ?

Vin you may not get any responses because we can not find information on our Limitation model thus it is hard to copare. On the other hand Cardinal is a fine flying plane. I can carry more weight due to the thicker airfoil but expect to carry a bigger battery.

Thanks for the reply, the plan is still on sale from MA, Nov 1990

my buddy and I have been researching modern quality stunters and came across this one

We have been taken with how well the Trivial Pursuit design flies and comparing it, scaled down,

to older layouts like the Nobler there are subtle changes

Hi Vincent
Well its hard to argue with your apparent success, but I think the system you have was overkill for the Nobler, and of course would be that much more on the smaller "Limitation".

I think the Nobler would have been comfortably overpowered with a AXI 2820 and a 11x5.5 prop for a 1.1 oz nose weight save.  Unless its really heavy you could have even used a 2814 for a 2.7 oz nose weight save

I think the 2814 would be the prohibitive favorite for the Limitation.
