Title: E Flite spinners
Post by: Arch Adamisin on January 18, 2010, 09:58:05 AM
Hi gang,
I've exchanged a couple emails with Pete @ horizon and asked if it might be possible to get some of their spinners in 1.75" and 2 " either without the prop notches so we could fit them to our reverse pitch props or even to 3 blade props. Is anyone out there interested in some if they will run a batch? The higher the response, the more likely the possibility that they might make us some. Please let me know ASAP, Pete is in China right now.

How about notched for the most common APC pushers, especially the 12-6EP? Also the 3-blade pushers from Master Airscrew? And while we are at it, how about E-spinners with openings/vents that would allow air to pass through the spinner to the front of the motor, if this is feasible? I recognize that the world market is probably small for CL-only items like this but we won't know unless Pete asks!

I'm in for a half dozen or so 2" ones with left hand prop cutouts

Yes, I could do with half a dozen pusher 2" spinners.  I use the regular e-flight spinners with the tractor props, and they are light.

Thanks for the effort.

I could go for 6# 2"  also for pusher props, are they plastic or Aluminium?

Dennis,

I like the idea of the uncut so we could use it for 3 blds. Count me in for 2" size will do 6 of either. Any choice on color?

What Arch is talking about is a small limited order of this with (more than likely ) NO prop cut-outs so they can be custom cut for LH 2-blade or LH or RH 3 blade (or more blade)

It would be of interest to me as well, probably a couple of each.

Thanks Arch,

These look like good elec. spinners, at a very good price.

I have been using the beautiful TruTrun Electric spinners, they seem to work very well and are works of art. They come in many sizes, colors,2 or 3 Blade, and they will custom cut them for any prop you want if needed. They cost more than the E-flites, but they are a great alternative if you want a beautiful, light, E spinner and don't want to try and cut your own slots.

I wrote to Pete, explained that there is a fair amount of interest and we'll see where it goes from here. As soon as I hear back from him, I'll let everyone know.
Thanks for the interest, Arch

I wasn't aware that they were aluminum.
How much will they weigh?

I could help and make the cut out for you on my CNC machine if you like. It can be made for any number of blades as long as they fit in. You just send me the prop and the spinner and I will cu it for you to match the blade.
