Does any one have any experience with them? I am in the process of shaking down my set up and I am just interested to see if any one else is using the E-Flight timer. One thing I have noticed is that there is no computer needed but not sure about changing things in the ESC. Any one have any tips?

Hello Warren,
For Sport, I think there are a few users out there.
For Stunt, no: you need the computer programmability and the RPM governor function, whether provided by the ESC itself or an external timer/governor.
Please don't be put off by the apparent complication ... it really isn't that bad!

I have two of these and will be up grading soon. You can't change the programming, which is the problem. I have not had any other issues. I'll keep using the ones I have on 1/2A's. I don't think there's a cost difference to go with the better timmers, it's just the issue of buying the programmer.

Hi Duke, my governor timer has a simple programming card and it's not expensive. All the details are on the RSM website and Eric has stock. I've also sent him a small quantity of the compact version that has the pins over the pc board and uses a small pushbutton. This works well for the small profile models. I have one on a 1/2A size model and one on a .15 size as well. I'll post something soon on this forum about this version.

Thanks, I'll look into it and ask around.
