Does anybody have pictures of an electric Akromaster?
« on: October 09, 2025, 12:58:31 PM »
Title says it all. My wife is building an Akromaster and is a little tired of me butting in with suggestions for complicated redesigns.

Since I'm a firm believer in shamelessly copying other people's design ideas, if somebody wants to share how they make electric work on an Akromaster, I'd love to see it. I'll be shooting pictures straight to my wife if I get them.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

It was my first control line plane I ever built. Used a Brodak EPS-10 electric conversion kit with an Arrowind 2210/25 and a 3s battery. All I can tell you is it flew. I crashed it several times before moving on to a Skyray 35.

No issues with needing tail weight with those long noses?

Tim I missed your question, sorry. But no I had no issue with balance.  I’m sure your plane is done by now lol

There's still time -- it turns out that my wife builds even slower than I do.
