You need to play with the settings and times. If the "blip" is too short of a pulse width then the governor shuts down and then executes a restart, which is what you have. (I'll bet!)
Modify the script to go to maybe 1250 microseconds for 1/2 second, then back to the roughly 1300 that yields something like 9,000 RPM for another half second, then 1250 for another half then back to 1300 foir 5 seconds and you'll be much happier.

I have to know, how did you get a hold of one?

Now lemme get this straight  ... this is the one with 2 output channels (retracts anyone?) and two pushbuttons (one for speeding up the run and the other for slowing it down?

Well the best is yet to come, there is another timer coming, now that my old collaborator Andy Kunz has taken a job at Horizon. Beta testing has not yet begun, weather permitting it will this weekend.

This one will be the "son of" the timer that Bob went to the Vallodolid Worlds with. It finally has all the operational features I want!

Hi Guys,
   Just an update on the E-Flight timer......... Rob flew it for the first time yesterday. It worked as advertised, but it leaves a bit to be desired. You have to set the flight time on every flight which isn't ideal. To set the flight time you have to hold down a push button and count beeps. Each beep is one minute giving you a fairly coarse flight time adjustment. For our purposes 6min is a little tight and 7 min is a bit long. The motor shut down is also unusual. Rob said it is supposed to shut down the motor, then after a short delay turn back on (end of tank warning). I watched Robs flight and it seemed to just slowly loose power. Neither of us noticed much of a off then back on sequence. Maybe Rob can chime in with more info.

   Other than being a little rough for the first version it is cheap at $10.00 plus shipping, a clean unit and would be fine for sport flying or getting new fliers in the air on a budget.

   It looks like one more step forward for mainstream electric control line flying!
