The final 3 "production" models are done and the final prototype flown. All should be ready for the acid test, the kid flying at Compton airport on Sunday! I have hopes that we will be able to provide training all day long with only 4 models (10 battery packs and 6 chargers).
I have not had the courage to purposely crash one of the prototypes, I suspect that it will be done by "professonals" over the weekend.
When I worked at Cox, we wanted to crash test some new designs, and couldn't do it untill we set up a heavy barrier at 45deg and flew straight into it. When we were flying, we would invariably pull up before hitting the ground; couldn't reliably kill the reflex. We could, however, fly straight and step forward to hit the barrier. ( The models passed, BTW )
