I've got an ESC I shortened the wires on for a certain plane. Now I want to use it where I need longer wires to the arming plug and battery. I've got the wire but, does anyone sell a straight coupler you can solder on or should I just use brass tubing?

You might want to talk to a bonifide ESC guy, but I have read splicing  by whatever means to the motor leads on an ESC is a no no

It's more that you don't want to extend the wires between battery and ESC by too much, because it causes electrical difficulties.  If he's already shortened the wires, bringing them back to the original length shouldn't be a problem.

Make sure to do a workmanlike job, and use heat-shrink tubing over any connections.

Thanks Igor, I have used that method before. I think this time, after stuffing the ends together, I will wrap it with thin copper wire to consolidate the bundle.

Is there any problem having the two battery leads be different lengths?
