Hi Linheart
Thanks for posting this info, why don't you also add to this the motor, battery type and size, the controller brand, esc brand, pitch and diameter of the prop, RPM, the weight and size of your airplane, This is information people like to see. And it is a big help to many people, I get lots of calls on this, and I think this forum is a great place for information.
Regards
Randy

Is this the Al Rabe Bearcat? I Have the plans for his gas model.

Hi Linheart,
Can you add the software version you are using in CC ESC also.
Thanks, Mike
-
Mike,
The CC software version is 2.23.
Fernando,
This is the original Al Rabes Bearcat design to fly with something like a ST46. In its day, it was considered a big airplane. It is Classic Legal. The newer BBQ Bearcat is about 20 percent larger and is designed for 60-90 engines.

I have the same plans for the St46 Bearcat. I am going to try building one using your specs. Do you have any advise for a beginner like me?

Hi Fernando,
I am an Advanced Flier and builder. The Bearcat was somewhat challenging for me. I built three wings before I got it the way I wanted it. The first one was like the plans. Then I switched to the Tom Morris system.
To save weight, I formed the top and bottom fuselage pieces from 1/16 balsa. The tail feathers were built just as shown on the plans. For Electric, do not install motor mounts (I did at first but then cut most of it away). Plan on mounting the motor on Former number 2.
Good luck with your project.
