Title: Castlelink problem
Post by: Russell Bond on April 12, 2011, 11:44:11 PM
Hi,
I just downloaded the latest CastleLink V3.30.1 and now get the pop up as attached when I try to change the throttle settings.
Anyone know what is wrong, please?  ???

Hi Russel,

Last night I went to program my new ESC and I kept getting the pop up for the new upgrade and I denied it, was worried about something like this happening. I think you can revert back to the previous program you were using can't you? Thought I saw that somewhere in the program when I was poking around in there a while back. Hope you get it figured out, now I know to avoid the update for sure.

Search the CC website for a fix. They usually know about these things before we do.

Download and apply.

I've checked out their website and there doesn't seem to be a fix yet and of course the old version's gone from my computer as it downloaded the latest version.  ''
It's not my esc's problem as I tried another plane with the same result.
I wiped the program off my computer and reloaded it to no avail. HB~>

Russel,

You may still have the older version installation file on your computer!! I have a couple in my "Download Folder" see the screen shot below. Just double click on the installation file you want and it will reload the old version.

Good luck!!

John

Nah, just checked and the folder is empty.
I'm going to ring Castle Creations and see if they know about the problem.
It's 11.30pm here and 9am there, so I'll ring before I go to bed. Z@@ZZZ

Russel,

Do a search of your computer for the installation file. It may be located elsewhere - course if you downloaded it to your desktop and then deleted it you are out of luck.

Some computers have the restore mode turned on.  You can select a date and go-back to that date.  If so select a date before the problem and go back the old program will be back. You can lose some stuff you didn't want to dump but a little thought can avoid this (pictures, music, word docs etc) with CD backup of new stuff.  Also look in your Recycle Bin.  If you haven't dumped it the old stuff is there and can be restored.
