So I just ordered my CC Ice Lite 50 for my ARF Smoothie project and after a little reading I am a little confused if I will need the Castle Link in order to program it properly. Do I need the unit or can I do all of the necessary programing with the stick method?

You'll need the castle link to programme it for control line use.

Please read the "Cookbook"  You won't be able to get to the different screens without it.  In your ICE Lite 50 you may have received a coupon for the interface. Then all you would need is the proper USB cable.  Castle link is free at the Download site for Castle Creations.

Did nobody else think this is peculiar?  I would think that Norm would be asking these questions of John.  If John were to ask a question of Norm, I'd think it would be about wood carving or something.  This is all very confusing.

What part of free do you want a discount on?  If you didn'd get a coupon for a free interface from Castle then e-mail me and I will look at my paperwork and see if I have a extra one.
And the download is free?
