Title: Castle Link software version
Post by: Randy Powell on April 20, 2013, 02:22:07 PM
OK, I've been looking over the various threads on this but am still not clear. I have version 3.27 of Castle Link. The update stuff shows the latest version is 4.05. I'm told I'm better off to stay with the current version. Seems a lot of discussion about it (though I confess I haven't read all the threads, just skimmed them).

Any thoughts on this?

I'm running the latest FW version.  No complaints what so ever.

I was told by one tech at Castle, to stay with the 3.7 version. He indicated that for our application (CL), the system was easier to program. That was late last year.

What did he mean by "easier to program"?

His comment was to do with my using a KR Timer,  as opposed to the Hubin Timer.

When did he say this?

That makes no sense to me: if you're running the KR timer then you are running the ESC in fixed end-points airplane mode.
