Title: Castle Firmware 4.01 Beta
Post by: Darkstar1 on April 12, 2012, 11:17:05 AM
Has any one tried the 4.01 Beta version yet I have last weekend testing a bunch of props and some full flights I haven't had any problems so far n~. This version might have some features that could benefit in case of a over voltage situation.

Thanks for being the guinea pig this time.  I will try it next week, bad weather here in Utah for the next few days.  I have already tried it on the bench.  Notice in the release it says they fixed the bug that “Bug fix: Unusual motor shutdowns, and other controller anomalies including ESC failure. Fixed” I'm wondering if that is from all previous versions or just release 4?

I now have 16 trouble free fights on 4.01 version of firmware.  The start acknowledgement and end of flight warning don't seem too powerful on this firmware.  Mike Haverly seems to observe the same thing on his airplane running the same 4.01 firmware.

Glad to see you are having success with the latest version. I would like to have done some flying but weather isnt
my problem. Vans been in the shop should be out early next week. In the mean while I bought a Jeti spin 66 Pro
ESC and Jeti box to check out. Is there any one else on this side of the planet using the Jeti yet? I'm doing some bench running to find out what works best before putting things in the air.

Please keep us informed on your testing.  Can you set brake in governor mode?  How about governor control ... many steps?  How about interoperability with Will's timers?
