Spin Pro 44

Using a Spin Pro 44 ESC with a Fiorotti Active Timer on my new plane.  Several questions about the Spin Pro.

Can I cut off the switch and just solder the switch wires together for a constant "ON" mode?

Do I need the ferrite rings on the cables that run to the timer and the Jeti Box?

Yes for switch. And ring will be better protection from  interference. Especially in the crumped installation.
But altering electronics sometime voids factory’s warranty .

Thanks for the comments.  The switch is coming off.  Just makes for a simpler install especially with the arming plug serving essentially same purpose.  As for the rings, i'm thinking that if I cut the leads shorter, I might not need the rings.  Still working on that.

Nothing wrong with the product at all.  Just trying to cleanup the install.   The switch is there for convenience.  I don't need it and it gets in the way of the other wiring.  The ferrite rings are used to prevent signal interference mostly, I believe, in RC installations with longer leads.  I will shorten my wiring, again for a cleaner install.  Hence, I don't believe the rings are necessary.

It is true that the ferrite  rings are to keep noise out of the RC receiver, especially the older AM type.  I have removed the rings and shortened the leads on all of my models and have not had any problems.  The only thing you don't want to do is bundle this lead with the motor leads.   For one setup I laced the control lead uptight with the motor leads and ran into problems. I unlaced them and with just a little separation and the problem went away.

Thanks.  Something to remember.  This won't be a problem for my present install.  The lead to the timer is about 5 inches away from the motor wires, on the opposite side of the ESC.  The lead from the ESC to the timer will be about 4 inches long.
