Title: Can you run a e flite 10 motor on a 4s battery?

Instructions for this motor say to run 3s batteries.  It does not mention 4s.  Will the higher voltage damage the motor?  Trying to get a long enough run time for stunt pattern.

Bob Hunt ran two Power 10 motors on 4S on one of his twins.   
Typically 1100KV is more of what you would consider 3S territory, but there is nothing barring it from 4s use.

Not really the answer to 4S, but possibly to enough time.  What size 3S?  Will 3S 4200 be enough?  If maybe, see the Li-Ion thread.

The Power 10 is an 1100 kV motor, so its a little slow for 3 cells and too fast for 4 cells.  Still you are better off with 4S and a 9x4.5 prop.  However a 9x6 prop will let you run the motor a little slower for a given airspeed, usually also saving some battery.

Also note: to extend your fly times increase the battery CAPACITY (i.e., the mAh of the battery) not the number of cells.
