« on: January 29, 2009, 12:25:29 PM »
Hi All.   I purchased a Buzzflight kit called the profile(fastbuild)Hummingbird deluxe electric kit
a couple of years ago- they are out of business now- I never built it - any comments on the
kit?

Hello Jacqui,
I really don't believe that any of us have ever seen or heard of the Hummingbird deluxe.
Do you have a picture?
Sorry,

Hi Dean,

I don't have a picture of my unbuilt kit, its still complete in the box as it came from the UK, I see buzzflight
is out of business now. But I did find a link

http://www.bmfa.org/publications/bmfanews/files/BMFANews63April2004part2.pdf

if you got to page 6 of this pdf you see the kit and the specs. they say it is a cheap way to get started but adding the shipping from England, it no longer fit into that catagory.
I am looking for a home for it- $25 plus shipping to buyer? I paid over $100 total

My husband is Larry Richards of Richards Kits (control line kit manufacturer) and we will never build this.
thanks, Dean

the kit is sold-thank you all

Hello Jacqui,

Somehow this seems appropriately symmetric.

I note that the kit used the power through the lines to provide the juice, but it should be straightforward to use a lipo for onboard power.
