I don't swap. With creative buying its not very expensive. I only have my #1 and one other flying anyway. My son has a #1 and a back up ready. I have a new # almost ready and hopefully my son will have a new#1. I have an ARF flight streak set up for short flights for my dad and intro to electric (training purposes).

What Will said. I don't swap the set ups either. I have 3 ready with all electrics onboard.

No swapping for me either, except batteries.

Well here it is for the cost of 1 PA .75 I got 5 2826/12 Cobra motors. So if you take into cost the pipe and header for the PA you can get the rest of the setup less the batteries. The battery is the knee bender if your using the high priced ones. I have 6 of those at $100.00 a pop. But you look at I don't have to buy fuel at 20+ a gallon for 20 flights.
So the cost at first seems high but over the long run cheaper.

Invest in the 2nd setup. Less hassle swapping out parts and you can take both to the field and fly to your hearts content.

MM --- once you get past 3 planes the wife can't tell how many planes you have. Paint them all the same colors and don't store them together.

It's often difficult to swap electrics between planes. Space constraints often require wiring to be shortened (you know, batteries and motors seem to come with 10" long wires). This makes each installation more or less a custom job.
