Is the motor in the Brodak Electric SV11 front or rear mounted? ???

front
That's great. I suspected as much. #^

What I did was to epoxy 1mm carbon fiber plates front and back of the China ply mount and use large area flat washers on the bolts.
What motor. battery & prop did you use? How does it fly?

Motor is Cobra C3520/14 KV=700
Batter is ProLite TP2800 - 6SPH25
Prop is my own design 12.5 x 5.5 CF three blade
How does it fly? It doesn't fly the way I would want a plane to fly in a serious competition. It's just too heavy, in fact with max length .018" lines and a prop with a little less pitch I was cramped for battery usage even with a 6 cell. I made a few changes and the power system is happy now with beaucoup power to pull the weight. It doesn't fly bad and I enjoy flying it but it's no scratch built Thundergazer.

Replace that motor with this https://www.lindinger.at/en/airplanes/electric-powerplants/motors/planet-hobby-joker-4250-8-v3-510-kv-brushless motor for sure you will be happy. Joker has the same 25mm bolt circle so it is a straight bolt in to replace the cobra. Try that you will be happy.
