Title: Brodak ARF weights
Post by: Larry Davis on September 04, 2010, 07:15:45 PM
I am looking for info on the larger Brodak ARF weights. Bare would be great, but if you have data on IC setups either dry or wet, OK.

Hi Larry,

You may want to look over in the "ARF" section. There are several threads on the 3 new, large, excellent ARF/ARC CLPA planes. Weights and details are all covered. :-)

FWIW: I have all three of them and you would have to have access to very light contest balsa and be a master builder to build a lighter, straighter, better looking CLPA plane than these. John, Steve, Randy, and Brad all did an outstanding job with these planes.

Thanks, I missed the ARF area.

...and don't forget Bob Branch's build thread right here in the electric forum.  He reported a bare weight of under 35 ozs.  For comparison purposes, the Strega I converted weighed 56 oz!

BTW I think folks who got the new Brodak Legacy ARF's and the UHP Impact are reporting similar weights.
