Hello my control line friends.

As the Thunder Power LIPO batteries quality is going down and down, I´m switching to LION, as a lot of US pilots has done years ago.

Did some airline trips in the past carrying Thunder Power LIPO batteries (the rule is 3 per person), never had a big problem. Only some explanations to the airport staff and was clear to go.

The question is....

What is the real experience boarding a airliner with homemade LION battery packs?

Would like to hear some real stories,

Thanks in advance,

Rodrigo Mansano

These are the Li-on batteries that I´m gonna use soon.

Looks suspicious.
Maybe put some professional labels on them?

Thank for your answer Paul, I thought nobody would do it.

We have 3 options:

1) use clear termo, the cells brand ans specs will be visible, but expose all the wires, but it is very "ugly", and looks more like something bad.

2) use colored termo, just like in the picture.

3) use colored termo, just like in the picture, but order some professional labels containing all the info about the cells used, and the number of cells.

Maybe I will be able to do some domestic flight, to see what happens.

Thank you again,
