Has anyone noticed the difference on usage on windy days to calm days?

yes its been pretty well documented, at least on my setup, I use less on windy days typically

The question only mentioned wind, so perhaps more than you wanted, but changes with density altitude are noted in several threads.  One here

MAH and speed can change unless rpm changes are made to compensate.

 Yes it was calm and cold plus drizzling Sunday, I used more battery, I guess have to get bigger ones for weather 2700mhA is just to close have to go to 3300mhA

Same for glow engines. Been flying my Banshee in strong wind with a Brodak 40 and wow does it have more power.
