battery storage?
« on: August 26, 2010, 12:31:53 PM »
I recall reading someplace that long term storage of Lipo batteries is best in the refrigerator.  I did a search on this forum and found no info.  Anyone know about this?   ???

that article was in stunt news -

charge/discharge battery packs to storage voltage - keep in fridge or someplace else with low temps but not freezing

I have been told by Tower Hobbies that batteries have a shelf life about about 1-2 years. Also that they should be stored at 3.75 volts per cell. I have a number of different size batteries and keep a log of each. so far Towers advice seems to be right on the mark.
