I have built a Ringmaster and a .15 size profile Mustang and have mounted the batteries under the wing on the outboard side center sheeting. I saw Dennis insert his in the wing of his cosmic wind but at the time of the post he had not yet figured how he was going to secure it in the pocket. Has anyone given this much thought and come up with a good clean way to mount/hide the battery on a profile?
Thanks
Mike

On my 526 Ringmaster I built a battery pocket behind the motor (not my original idea). It was custom sized for the battery I had planned to use. It is held in place with Velcro straps. Balance can be a problem with this arrangement but on my ship it came out spot on. I can not shift the battery for balance. The 576 is a medium sized model with enough room in the noise for this setup. I did extend the front end about a 1/2" to get everything to fit. It is common to put a clowning over the battery to clean things up but I prefer the extra cooling and did not want to add weight.
