Carbon Pusher Props - anyone interested?
« on: March 15, 2010, 03:17:46 PM »
All,
I have been in contact with Steve Wilk of Eliminator props, he currently make speed and stunt props in all kinds of shapes and sizes.  I asked if he would make pushers in stunt sizes and pitches - which he said he would if the demand was there.

It might be worthwhile getting some indication on what sizes etc people want - we might just twist his arm to make some

I like the idea. I like the APC -E props but they are heavy compared to carbon. I have come to REALLY like pusher props. Watching the 80 oz E-Strega fly with the 13x4.5 spinng backwards is a revalation. My much older brother Arch (MOBA) flew it in 20 mph winds and had perfect line tension in the overhead and the third loop of the clover. Haleluya!

Yes How about some Pusher 3 blade props , this would help the ground clearance and the need for tall gears.

If we get Steve to make us some props, it would be nice if they are as efficient as the APC-E props.  I'd like to see
12.5 x 6  11.5 x 6

Uhhh......... ditto and 11,12,13x4.5 or just a 13x4.5 that I can trim down. I'm waiting for MOBA and Arch 3 and Dennins to pipe up....

I like my APC-E 12.5.  Same prop rotating the other way would be great. Sign me up.

I am on my way returning to the carbon prop business. I am considering making pusher props too. I should not be hard for me to make special pusher tools for 2B and 3B props. I am looking at 4.5 pitch prop and 5.5 pitch props. Sure I can take a look at APC shapes to get an idea of blade thickness etc.

12-13 x 4.5 to 5.0 pitch would be great to me.  I would like to explore 3-blade props as I feel there is more power to get out of our torquey motors.  Would only be interested in Pusher/LH rotation though.
