I have just posted a small report on the Australian Nat's and thought I would give a brief summary on my own experience. I had due to health reasons not to attend any more competions but was talked into going again, this time with a new electric model. After trying out a T REX with a Brodak set up I got one of the new SV 11 ARF's,I set it up with an EMAX2832/05 960 kv motor, same as arrowwind,Castle 50 amp lite ice,Will Hubin Fm 9 timer and 3700 Rhino battery.I use this battery for balance, the plane has not had much flying due to the bad weather we have been having the last couple of months but I was so confident of the set up I preferred it to my T/P PA75 Pipe set up .I used 2280 out of the batteries against 2380 at my normal field at almost sea level.Flying on 69 ft 6 in center model to handle 8850 rpm 5.5 sec laps,I couldn't bee happier,I have enjoyed my best Nat's yet, I may even go to one more now with electric making everythin so much easier. Noel.

YEEEE HAW! Congrats on the new bird and for your "best NATs ever". That is one of the prizes of ECL - less garbage time setting up engines and more quality time flying.
The emax motor specs duplicate the Arrowind - one wonders if they are the SAME motor??? What do you think?
-
Dennis, Definatly the same motor,I have both,Just a different sticker,same specs,same performance.

I have been remiss, while blowing my own trumpet I failed to mention Warren Leadbetters second place in advanced with his Turinigy powered Pathfinder. Noel.

Indeed, CONGRATS to Warren also. I think it was about 1 year ago he builkt his first electric Super Clown and laid the groundwork for the PF conversion.
Read in the open forum where Bruce Hoffman was not able to attend...

Thanks Dennis. I had a good Nats but on my recent performances I should have done better result wise. Had I been on my game I would have won Advanced and came 2nd in Classic Stunt, but due to silly mistakes I got 2nd in F2B Advanced and 4th in Classic Stunt. I did get a consolation prize, ie 1st in the Free Flight Night Scramble :-)
I'm not going to make any excuses, but you will see me flying F2B Expert class soon.
Here are some more pics...

Warren ,Don't be so hard on yourself ,don't forget how much it takes out of you judging one class as well as flying your own.Look how Paul fared.
