Arrowind motors offered by Brodak?
« on: December 12, 2013, 09:51:02 AM »
I'm researching electric motors. No secrete about that.  ;D

And I would like to thank everyone who is offering help, both in the Forum and with E-mails.  H^^

I see Brodak carries a line called Arrowind and offers a few different motors.

Anyone using Brodak's stuff?

I have several and they all work fine.  No issues.

I released all the Brodak electric stuff - based on my tests.  I think the Arrowinds are just fine across the board - but I can hardly be considered neutral.

BTW the Arrowind EF-1 racing motor has been the NATs champ two years running (in a two year old event).   8)

I have run a couple of different size Arrowind mtrs. for the last 3 flying seasons. And they have performed well for me. Dennis is the best source of knowledge for these mtrs., and he won't steer anyone wrong cause he has integrity. There may be better motors, but for a lot of applications the Arrowind mtrs. do pretty well. Also they are reasonably priced.  :)
I have one with over 200 flights on it, and two more with about 50 flights ea.  :)

I have 3 Arrowind motors ... used on Ringmasters for my grandson ... the run fine but do not like nose first landing from a beginner pilot.

I think the kid killed the bearing on a nose in soft dirt "Landing"
