YES!

Kind of disconcerting isn't it?  I started using the Maxx Products arming plug.  I suspect it might still be arcing but it is internal to the plug (doubled Anderson power poles)

It is usual especially with more cells. You need to charge ESC capacitors before connecting. Simplest way is to install paralel resistor into one of connectors and while connecting, just touch the resistor first, only then connect the connector directly.
