Will Hubin's timers just plain work. Simple to use. You can select one that controls what you want or all you want, and he hand tests every one himself so you don't get a bunch of out of the box  failures like I suffered thru. My flying partners and I have flown a number of his timers this year. As far as I am concerned they set a pretty high standard and are finally what we have been  looking for. They are truly plug and play and easy to use.

What I'd really like to have is a JMP-2 timer with a "speed" pot or better yet a 3 position switch (dip switch would work) so I can select which of the 3 speeds I can program into my CC Phoenix speed controllers I want to use for the flight.  Example:
On the CC speed controller:
1) 8800
2) 9000
3) 9200

Then depending on conditions, I select, on the timer, 1,2, or 3 for the speed fpr that flight.

This timer would be just like the standard JMP-2 with just a small pot added.  I would just turn the pot to low, mid, or high to select the speed.  Oh I would also like to get rid of the "burp" at the end of the flight too.  It really isn't necessary for me.  I always fly with a stopwatch.  I know when the motor is going to stop.

The JMP instructions are for the JMP1 timers which are not available.  JMP-2 timers have the burp and cannot be turned off.  Also the difference between the 2 is that the JMP-2 has the throttle creep.

The Ztron instructions are not for the "Simple Timer".  Anybody have them and can post them?
